THE LEGACY CONTINUES
If you are a long time fan of the Osmond Family, then you will probably remember my mother, Olive Osmond, had her own company called Knowledge Unlimited. It was dedicated to education and inspiration. Through it, she published books that she wrote such as “How to Get Organized”, and she published the Osmond World Magazine, Backstage, many of the Osmond Family press kits and more. She wrote a series of “notes” to our family called “Memos from Mother” with inspirational thoughts that she would send to each of us by mail and later by email.
My mother loved to learn and she was always reading books and had a huge library in her home. She used to say, “If you graduated yesterday, and have learned nothing today, you will be ignorant tomorrow!” She was always testing each of us to see what new wisdom we had gleaned from our recent reading.
What you may not know is that I helped my mother run her little company. I did the publishing and layout and art work for her publications. Before she passed away, she gave me the rights to her company and asked me to keep it going. That is what I am trying to do.
My mother kept detailed journals. I have been going through them and writing her history. Soon her life story will be available to all who want to read about her. I am working on my father’s life history for publication too.
Also, all her “Memo’s From Mother” will soon become available with all her wit and wisdom.
And, my wife Chris is finishing her book on marriage called, “A Marriage Primer: What You Need to Know before You Tie the Knot”. It is a humorous walk through 25 pieces of wisdom that she wishes she had been given before she married me. It is a witty and revealing peak into the window of being married to Osmond men, and wise applications of tactics for survival in any marriage. When it is ready, it too will be made available all through the Osmond online store.
I consider having the responsibility for this company to be a sacred trust and I want to be sure that only the finest and most uplifting materials are made available. We will have much more to tell you in the future about the publications that Chris and I are working on and any future projects. So keep checking the Osmond Store for listings.
